Let's share some books that we've read and found either interesting, riveting or touching.

Here's the first proposal.

La autonomía energética de Japón. GENEPAX:  El Motor de agua Japonés, ya fue desarrollado  en 2008. by starviewer

Corría el año 2008 y varios científicos japoneses decidieron desarrollar el primer vehículo de venta al público impulsado por un motor de agua: Su denominación comercial era GENEPAX, y su único consumo era un litro de agua por cada 80 Km.

La potencia que desarrollaba era equivalente a un vehículo de 45CV, más que suficientes para desplazamientos urbanos en las congestionadas ciudades niponas.

Seguidamente vamos a presentar el desarrollo de GENEPAX así como la estructura de sus motores.

Ahora veamos, la estructura y funcionamiento del GENEPAX:

Como pueden ver. El vehículo comenzó a comercializarse en Asia a finales de 2008: (?!!)

El inventor, fue un Ingeniero nipón, Kiyoshi Hirasawa. La comercialización del vehículo se realizó con la marca GENEPAX.

Inicialmente, todo podría ir bien para Kiyoshi Hirasawa, pero pocos meses después, los responsables de la empresa GENEPAX se dieron cuenta de que el vehículo no era atractivo para el consumidor, ya que este demandaba otras comodidades propias de los vehículos más convencionales y no únicamente un minicoche.

El resultado fue que pasaron de la producción del minicoche a la producción de dispositivos de adaptación a vehículos convencionales. Esta estrategia comenzó en Enero de 2010, y desde entonces GENEPAX es un referente en el mercado nipón, ya que es capaz de convertir cualquier vehículo convencional en un vehículo propulsado por HHO.

Siguiendo esta estrategia, han conseguido extender su red de ventas fuera de Japón.

Lay vs lie

Lay
Lay means 'put something down carefully'. Its verb forms are lay, laid, laid. It always has an object.

• When I eat I lay a cloth on the table.
• I laid the baby in her cot.
• She hasn't laid the duvet on the bed.

Lie
Lie means 'be in a flat position' or 'put yourself in a flat position. Its verb forms are lie, lay, lain. It doesn't require an object.

• Tonight I want to lie on the sofa and watch a film.
  
• Yesterday Sian lay on the beach and read a book.
• I've never lain on a futon before.

Reading strategy

Whenever  you need to go through a text without actually reading every word that is skim reading. You can skim read at different speeds.Read these tips on skim reading and then apply this technique while working with different text types.

•  Fast skim reading happens when you just go through the pages of a book or text simply marking,possibly with a " post-it note", the beginning of each chapter or section. You can write  a few words on the post-it note simply to remind you why you decided to put it there.

• Scan  reading occurs when you are looking for some more specific  information and you go through each page trying to identify some key word that you find of interest and / or relevant for the exercise you need to solve.

       REMEMBER : when doing reading comprehension exercises skim the    text  first.

       Then read the questions and reread the text again  in order to be more    effective.Then your brain  will recognise relevant key words in the text  that you will need  to answer the questions.
