ARUNIMA SINHA
Arunima
Sinhá is a person who inspired me the most.
Arunima was a former national player of India. In addition, she is the world’s first female amputee to climb Mt.Vinson (Antarctica) and she also climbed the world’s highest peak Mt.Everest (Nepal).
In April 2011, Arunima, a national volleyball player, was thrown out of a running train by a robber. That incident changed her life. She lost one leg but she didn’t lose her hope. She told herself that she wasn’t made for a wheelchair and crutches. So, she thought of climbing the mountain. Her family and her nation stood as the backbone of her life. She got a lot of sponsorship from her country and because of her courage, she succeeded to do things that physically abled people feel difficult to do. She has won a lot of awards like the Padma Shri Award and the National Adventure Award.
