Partilha da última aula do 10º E

 Dear Students,

Attending school is a lot more than memorizing rules, listening to teachers, and learning new concepts.

Many of you had already stated that relationships at school are really important and I absolutely agree.

That's the reason why I'm sharing 10th E last class of English, a class that tried to overcome differences to learn to share.

Enjoy!

Hacking your brain for happiness by Ph James Doty

 Dear Students,

I have noticed that some of you seem to be demotivated which is not surprising due to the times we're living....

When that happens we tend to blame. Blame others, blame institutions, etc...

I decided to share with wise words by Ph James Doty, a neurosurgeon with an amazing life story.

Dear Mom

Hey mama, can you hear me?

When I came into your womb for the first time, I felt so special. I thanked  God for giving me such a warm womb. So, even when I was tired I used to fight with my competitor happily. I got a lot of pain and scars but my strong desire to see the beautiful world as your daughter gave me the power to heal my wounds.

Every time I used to think’ how does the world look like?’ When I opened my eyes for the first time I wanted to hold my father’s hand, play hide and seek with my grandparents, make tea for my relatives, ask questions to the teacher and laugh with my friends but I don’t know why you changed your mind and made the decision to take my life. There must be a big reason for spoiling my dream to open my eyes and see you as my beautiful mother.

Today, I heard the rumor in heaven that you gave birth to my brother. I only want you to give all love and care to him which I couldn't get as a girl. And I will pray to God that no more daughters should be murdered by their own parents.

                                                                                        Love from your,

                                                                                       unwanted daughter.

Faded Rose

 Dear students,

I have received a poem written by a colleague of yours.

It's in Portuguese but all languages establish bridges....

And writing is all about expressing emotions! I hope you enjoy it 😊

A minha rosa murchou

Deste-me o lar que nunca ninguém me deu

Mas lembro-me do teu belo riso e daquelas gargalhadas

Estarás sempre no meu coração

Queria parar naquele instante
Dizer-te o quanto te amo e estar sentada contigo naquele lugar desconfortante

Inspirational People

     ARUNIMA SINHA

Arunima Sinhá is a person who inspired me the most.

Arunima was a former national player of India. In addition, she is the world’s first female amputee to climb Mt.Vinson (Antarctica) and she also climbed the world’s highest peak Mt.Everest (Nepal).

In April 2011, Arunima, a national volleyball player, was thrown out of a running train by a robber. That incident changed her life. She lost one leg but she didn’t lose her hope. She told herself that she wasn’t made for a wheelchair and crutches. So, she thought of climbing the mountain. Her family and her nation stood as the backbone of her life. She got a lot of sponsorship from her country and because of her courage, she succeeded to do things that physically abled people feel difficult to do. She has won a lot of awards like the Padma Shri Award and the National Adventure Award.

She proved the world that nothing is impossible if we believe in ourselves. All we need to do is changing our weaknesses into our strengths.
